摘　　要：艾略特的“传统”观是其文论体系中的重要内容,从柏格森的“绵延”理论的角度出发,可以更好地审视艾略特传统观中的历史意识。通过分析艾略特的历史意识与其文学理论中“非个性化”、“客观对应物”的关系,可以接近艾略特的历史意识在文学创作中的实践运用——通过一种作为过程的“追忆”,改变了对“传统”的态度和接近它的方式。《荒原》文本则是艾略特历史意识与“追忆”行为的具象化呈现。Starting from Eliot’s view of“tradition”,this paper draws on Bergson’s theory of“Duration”to explore the historical sense in Eliot’s literary theory.By analysing the historical sense’s relationship with“impersonal theory”and“objective correlative”in Eliot’s literary theory,this paper explores the practical application of Eliot’s historical sense in literary creations.Eliot’s practice of the historical sense changes attitudes towards tradition and the way in which it is approached,through a process of“Remembrances”.Through specifically analysing the text of The Waste Land,this paper makes Eliot’s historical sense and the act of“Remembrances”tangible.
