微观个体认知视角下北方农牧交错带少数民族语聚落地名的汉化进程--从文化符号向空间指位符号的衰变

摘　　要：地名的生命历程包括命名和用名两个环节。地名的符号意义通过命名者得以构建,而在地方民众的日常生活中又不断被重构。以内蒙古达茂旗为例,通过大量微观个体的深度访谈,从地方民众认知的视角分析北方农牧交错带少数民族语聚落地名文化符号意义的变迁及成因。结果显示:案例地少数民族语聚落地名汉化趋势明显,其大致经历了少数民族语地名主导阶段、少数民族语和汉语地名共存分立阶段、汉语地名与汉译少数民族语地名主导阶段。随着语言文字环境和用名群体结构的剧烈变迁,少数民族语聚落地名的符号意义在新的用名环境中不断被弱化,地方民众对少数民族语聚落地名的认知越来越有限,少数民族语聚落地名逐渐从意义丰富的文化符号衰变为简单的空间指位符号。The life course of place name includes naming and using stages.The symbolic meaning of place names is constructed by the namers and reconstructed in the daily life by local people.Taking Damao Banner of Inner Mongolia as example,a large number of in-depth interviews with micro-individuals are carried out,and the changes of the cultural symbolic meaning of minority settlement place names and the causes are discussed from the perspective of local people’s cognition.Results indicate that the sinicization trend of minority settlement place names is becoming obviously.They have experienced minority settlement place name dominated stage,coexistence and separation stage of minority and Chinese settlement place names,and Chinese settlement place names and Chinese translated minority settlement place name dominated stage.In the change process of language environment and group structure of place name users,the symbolic meaning of minority settlement place names is gradually weakened.People’s cognition of minority settlement place names is becoming increasingly limited,the minority settlement place names gradually decayed from meaningful cultural symbols to simple spatial signifier symbols.The root causes lie in the obvious transliteration distortion and simplification of minority settlements place names,the fuzzy free translation and semantic disappearance,lower social identity and prominent marginalization among local daily life.
