摘 要:文学在欧美通识教育的体系中拥有重要地位,但细绎《哈佛通识教育红皮书》中对于文学的解释,可以发现背后潜藏着不易调和的矛盾,即文学外部社会改良需求与文学内部专业解读之间的矛盾,而追溯其源,则与西方文明起源阶段古希腊贵族教育的“自由观”有关。对比中西方文学观念的异同,可以愈加凸显中国文学的特质,由此也可以确证中国文学可以成为我国高校通识教育的重要“抓手”和突破点。Literature plays a very important role in the system of general education in Europe and America,but according to the interpretation of literature in“General Education In a Free Society:Report of Harvard Committee”,it can be found that there is a potential conflict behind the relationship between the demand of external social improvement function and the emphasis on the analysis of the internal specialization.When tracing its origin,it is related to the value of“freedom”in the ancient Greek aristocracy education in the initial stage of western civilization.By comparing the similarities and differences between Chinese and western literature,the characteristics and uniqueness of Chinese literature can be more stark,and therefore Chinese literature can be viewed as an important“starting point”and breakthrough of general education in China’s colleges and universities.
