摘　　要：近代中国牙医师积极参与牙医学教育,先后创办8所牙医学院校,培养专业人才,创办者有本土成长起来的牙医师,也有获得国外牙医学博士学位后回国执业者,但是这些院校普遍存续时间不长。目前我国尚缺乏对牙医师创办牙医学院校的研究,本文通过整理史料,并结合个案,分析中国牙医师创办牙医学院校的经过,学校教学、师资和学生培养情况,结合当时社会背景、管理制度,探析中国牙医师创办院校遇到的困难,再现近代中国牙医师为促进牙医学教育发展所付出的努力,丰富我国口腔医学教育历史研究。Eight dental schools were founded by Chinese dentists during modern times(1909-1949)in China,but only one of them still works.This article analyzes the establishment processes,faculty and student trainings in some of these dental schools,combining with the social background and management system at that time,to explore the difficulties encountered by Chinese dentists infoundingdental schools before1949.
