摘 要:“理论旅行”是赛义德在文学批评与文化批评交叉并进、批评与理论互通互释的背景下,提出的著名理论,久受学界关注。赛义德以卢卡奇《历史与阶级意识》中的物化分析为原型,分别解析了吕西安·戈德曼读卢卡奇,和雷蒙·威廉斯二度阅读卢卡奇的理论旅行脉络,认为卢卡奇的阶级意识和总体性理论在这一传播过程中,具有被日渐弱化的趋势,但是反过来也有阿多诺和法农对于卢卡奇的另类强化接受。由此来看颉德《社会进化论》到中译本《大同学》的理论旅行,虽然李提摩太和蔡尔康的译文与颉德的原文多有差异,但马克思的学说正是在此新旧交替时代,被引入近代中国的文化语境。“Theory travel”is a famous theory put forward by Edward Said under the background of the intersection of criticism and theory.Taking the reification analysis in Lukacs’History and Class Consciousness as the prototype,Said probed the contexts of Lucien Goldman’s reading of Lukacs and Raymond Williams’reading of Lukacs via Goldman,and believed that Lukacs’class consciousness and totality theory had a trend of weakening in the process of transplantation.However,Adorno and Fanon strengthened their acceptance of Lukacs’revolutionary theory in turn.In China,the theoretical journey from Benjamin Kidd’s Social Evolution to its Chinese version shows that though the theory may be either degraded or strengthened between Kidd’s original text and Timothy Richard’s Chinese translation,it is in this era of the transition between the old and the new that Marx’s theory was introduced into the cultural context of modern China.
