摘  要:20世纪初以来,以庞德为首的美国现代派诗人不仅通过诗歌翻译寻找革新英诗创作的源泉,还从绘画、雕塑等非语言艺术中吸取养分,创新英诗表达法。他们借鉴绘画艺术翻译古典汉诗,使译诗成为现代英诗改革的“试验田”并推动着中西诗学、文化、艺术的融通发展。本文从绘画艺术审美感性直觉、绘画形式语言以及绘画原理技法三个层面,探析美国诗人翻译古典汉诗的画译特色,揭示画译独特的诗学价值与美学效果,阐述其对当代译学发展的认识论价值与方法论意义。Since the beginning of the 20 th century,American modernist poets led by Ezra Pound have not only drawn inspiration from poem translation in order to reform English poetry,but also innovated its expressions from painting,sculpture and other non-verbal arts.They translated classical Chinese poems in the light of painting,and turned it into an“experimental field”for the reform of modern English poetry,which has promoted the integration of Chinese and Western poetics,culture and art.This paper probes into the painting-based translation of classical Chinese poems into English by American poets from three aspects:the aesthetic sensuous intuition,the formal language,and the principles and techniques of painting,thus discloses the unique poetic values and artistic effects of painting-based translation,and explores its epistemological value and methodological significance to the development of contemporary translation studies.
