摘　　要：作为一种典型的科技文体,机械英语具有语义客观、逻辑严密、语言简练等文体特征。译者只有吃透这些文体特征才能正确处理好机械文本的汉译英,给出地道的译文。本文通过分析机械英语的文体特征,探究其遣词、造句、组篇的一般性规律,为机械文本英译提供参考。English for mechanical engineering,as a typical scientific writing,is characterized by objective semantics,rigorous logic and concise expression.Only with a solid understanding of these stylistic features can the translator correctly and idiomatically translate such texts into English.This paper,based on the stylistic features of English for mechanical engineering,explores the general rules of its diction,sentence construction and composition to provide important reference for the translation of such texts.
