摘 要:为研究理工类高年级大学生英文学术论文写作词汇使用问题及学习需求,以专门用途英语需求分析理论为依据,采用资料搜集及问卷法进行调研。结果显示:学生在词汇使用上存在用词非正式性、非客观性、单一性及英汉词语使用不匹配、名词性结构使用不当等问题;学生的词汇学习难度及需求程度以读、说、听、写的顺序依次递增。对此,教师应适时改变教学法,逐步转向以学术英语为核心的教学,以满足学生英文学术写作的需求,提高词汇运用能力。By adopting paper collection and questionnaire, with the guideline of students’ needs for English for specific purpose(ESP), the study analyzes textual development at the lexical level on academic writings, as well as the students’ needs in lexical learning in Engineering university. The results indicate that there are many lexical problems in high-level writings, such as informal expressions, non-objective expressions, monotonous language, word to word translation between Chinese and English, and the problem of nominalization. Students encounter increasing difficulties with the sequence of reading, speaking, listening, and writing, when their needs are accordingly increasing with the same sequence. In this paper, the author recommends that English teaching should be gradually centered on English for Academic Purpose(EAP) to meet their needs on lexical study.
