新时期大学英语教育的重要性及探索途径

摘　　要：随着我国经济的迅速发展、综合国力的不断提升、对外开放力度的持续增强,英语已经成为我国对外交流和沟通的重要外语。我国从小学就开始进行了正规的英语教育,而大学英语教育是高校的重要教学内容。但是当前大学英语教育也面临一定的困境,大学英语的教学效率和教学质量不能适应时代发展的要求,大学英语的教学方式和教学内容无法满足学生当前的需要。因此,高校要正视当前大学英语教育存在的问题,克服大学英语教育的困境,探索新时期大学英语教育的新措施。With the rapid development of China’s economy, the continuous improvement of China’s comprehensive national strength and the continuous enhancement of the opening up, English has become an important foreign language for China’s foreign exchange and communication. China has carried out formal English education since primary school, and college English education is an important teaching content in colleges and universities. However, the current college English education also has certain difficulties. The teaching efficiency and quality of college English can not meet the requirements of the development of the times. The teaching methods and contents of college English can not meet the current needs of students. Therefore, colleges should face up to the problems existing in the current college English education, overcome the difficulties, and explore new measures for College English education in the new era.
