美国高校学情调查的范畴、过程与效果——以美国加州大学伯克利分校为例

摘  要:通过对美国加州大学伯克利分校的学情调查分析发现,其学情调查数据主要涉及学生的学习经验、校园生活体验、个人未来规划与发展需求、学生家庭背景和个性特征等方面的信息。学情调查数据的多源异构与多方互证保证了其调查数据的科学性,完善的数据处理技术是提高学情调查数据价值的关键,而调查报告满足不同群体诉求则体现了调查数据的多元应用价值。根据美国学情调查经验和我国实际情况,研究认为我国学情调查只有上升到高校决策需求的高度才能得以广泛开展,而打破数据“孤岛”,完善信息数据平台,利用数据挖掘技术推进学情调查科学化和规范化,加快院校研究者的培训是提高学情调查质量和应用水平的关键。Through the investigation and analysis of College Student Experience Questionnaire(CSEQ) of University of California, Berkeley, it is found that the data of the investigation mainly involve students’ learning experience, campus life experience, personal future planning and development needs, students’ family background and personality characteristics, etc. The multi-source heterogeneity and multi-party mutual verification guarantee the scientific nature of the survey data, and the perfect data processing technology is the key to improve the value of the survey data, while the survey report meets the demands of different groups, which reflects the multi-application value of CSEQ. According to the survey of the United States CSEQ and the actual situation in our country, this paper suggests that only when the CSEQ rises to the level of the college decision-making can it be carried out widely in our country. Meanwhile, the key to improve the quality and application level of CSEQ is to break the data “isolated island”, perfect the information data platform, use the data mining technology to promote CSEQ scientific and standardized, accelerating the researchers competency.
