关于英语阅读单选题做题步骤与英语泛读教学的探究与反馈——以《英语泛读教程2》为例

摘  要:英语阅读能力是衡量学生英语能力的重要指标,其提升对学生而言具有重要意义。泛读课程作为英语专业基础阶段的一门重要课程,因其对学生英语阅读能力和习惯培养的重要作用而受到各高校的广泛重视。目前,在高校泛读课自主命题以及英语四级、六级等考试中,单项选择题均是阅读考试中的必考题型。英语阅读单选题的准确率既是学生阅读能力的体现,也是其取得优异成绩的保障。文章以西安明德理工学院语言文化传播学院英语专业大一207位学生为实验及调查对象,通过一线的教学实践和学生的问卷反馈,总结一套针对英语阅读单选题的系统做题步骤,为教师教学及学生学习、备考提供思路;最后通过收集和梳理问卷中学生所提供的泛读课教学意见及反馈,给予英语专业该课程相关教师以实质性的建议与意见,以期共同提升课堂教学效果。English reading capability serves as an important indicator to showcase students’ English proficiency,which makes its improvement significant for college students.In addition,English Extensive Reading Course is vital for laying the foundation for English majors,and it has been valued by universities and colleges in view of its role in improving students’ English reading abilities and developing their reading habits.Currently,no matter in English reading tests,quizzes,exams of individual schools,or in CET-band 4 and 6,multiple choices are inevitably appeared.Higher rates of accuracy when students’ making their choices represent their English reading abilities and ensure excellent grades.Therefore,based on experimenting and researching on 207 freshmen in English majors from School of Languages and Cultural Communication,Xi’an Mingde Institute of Technology,combined with the author’s teaching experience and the feedback collected from 207 students,the paper summarizes systematic steps for teachers and students to help handle multiple choices in English reading exams.Besides,with suggestions and feedback drawn from the students,the author offers substantive advice to related teachers so as to improve the teaching effectiveness of Extensive Reading Course collectively.
