摘　　要：英文财经词汇是财经类专业学生进行EAP阅读的基石。本研究通过调研独立学院财经类本科生英文财经词汇习得的现状,旨在探究如何解决他们英文财经词汇记忆中所面临的问题,从而更好地进行专业EAP阅读。研究发现:广泛阅读双语财经报刊可以加快学生对英文财经词汇理解和习得速度,扩大学生的专业词汇量,还能使其更加理解词汇的语用功能和文化内涵,扫清进一步进行EAP阅读的专业语言障碍。Financial English vocabulary is the cornerstone of EAP reading for students majoring in finance and economics.By investigating the current situation of English vocabulary acquisition of undergraduates majoring in finance and economics in independent colleges,this study aims to explore how to solve the problems they faced in memorizing financial English vocabulary for better professional EAP reading.The research finds that reading bilingual financial newspapers and periodicals can speed up the students’ understanding and acquisition of financial English vocabulary,expand students’ vocabulary,and enable them better understand the pragmatic function and cultural connotation of words so as to remove language barriers in finance major for further EAP reading.
