In order to improve the cutting performance of cutting titanium alloy,micro-texture tools with different morphologies were designed.Based on different cutting parameters, the cutting process of titanium alloy was simulated by finite element software. The changing rules of key cutting performance factors, such as cutting force, cutting temperature and tool wear during titanium alloy cutting were studied. The results show that the cutting temperature and tool wear of the micro-texture tools are lower than those of the untextured tools, but the cutting force of micro-texture tools is slightly higher than that of the untextured tools. The influence of micro textured tools on cutting temperature and tool wear distribution is better than that of the untextured tools.Tool of T-V reduces the cutting temperature by 25%~37%.The tool wear is reduced by 27%~39%.The comprehensive cutting performance of T-V is better than that of T-H,T-N and T-K tools by analytic hierarchy process. The research of micro-textured tools with different morphologies can improve the cutting performance of tools, and provides a theoretical reference for the textured tools.
