摘　　要：两汉幽燕地区具备“险陆相乘”的军事地理形势,盛产“天下精兵”,拥有“勃碣都会”这一区域中心,经济基础良好,因而备受兵家重视。由于地缘关系,依托此地的割据叛乱往往与塞外势力联系紧密。幽燕地区在汉王朝的边防体系中占有举足轻重的地位,是进行对外战争中的攻防堡垒和后勤基地,也是中央政府掌握东北、控制东北亚的战略要地。Boasting intricate and rugged geographical terrains,well-trained picked troops,and a hub of regional economic activities,the Youyan area of the Han Dynasty(covering present-day Beijing,north Hebei and west Liaoning)has since ancient times been regarded as a hotly contested outpost of strategic economic and military significance.Due to geopolitical reasons,feudal warlords attempted armed rebellions or insurgencies and set up separatist regimes here often in close collusion with external forces beyond the Great Wall.The Youyan area played an important role in the frontier defense system of the Han Dynasty,being not only an offensive and defensive fortress and a logistics base in warfare but also a strategic location for the central government to rein in the Northeast and exert control over Northeast Asia.
