西域式线描的特征辨析

摘　　要：西域式线描对西域样式佛画风格的形成极为重要。和汉地佛画线描相比,西域式线描线型单一,线描组合倾向于抽象化的几何化图形线,线描走势依据勾绘对象的不同而各有程式;西域式线描尤其擅长勾绘圆润结实的肉身,具有浮雕般的表现力。在西域佛画的色线配合中,线描对形象塑造发挥着基本、核心的作用,线描功能的加强甚至影响到西域式凹凸晕染法的发展、衍化。西域式线描的强大功能,还体现在对整体画面结构的影响上,它是西域佛画独特装饰效果的重要组织因素。Xiyu-style Buddhist paintings are characterized by their line drawings.The drawings are simple and the patterns present geometric drawings in comparison to those in areas where Han culture was popular.Outdoing colour patches,these line drawings are expressive of plump or stout bodies that resemble figures in relief.This technique is so expressive that it even affected theXiyu-style painting technique of varied shades.Besides,it is an important element for the decorativeness ofXiyustyled Buddhist paintings in that it also influenced the painting layout.
