摘　　要：在这篇文章中,约纳斯试图通过肖像制作来确定人在动物王国中的特殊地位。在分析了肖像本身所具有的各种特征之后,约纳斯探讨了肖像制作与观察所需具备的两种基本能力,也就是发现相似性和将形式与质料分离的能力。为了阐明这两种能力,约纳斯着重论述了视觉的作用,认为视觉行为中已经存在抽象、表象、象征等肖像功能。当人们进一步将视觉感知转化为物质上的相似时,他们身上的肖像能力达到一个新的状态——肖像成为一种与物体分离的形式,也就是,外观的显示被制作成一种独立于物体而存在的东西。这一制作则是通过人对其想象与身体运动的清晰控制来达成的,正因如此,人类的自由才得以可能。ion,representation,symbolism—something of the image function—already inheres in the performance of seeing.As people proceed to translate visual perception into materical likeness,a new level of mediacy will be attained—the image became detached from the object,that is,the presence of the eidos is made independent of that of the thing.And this is achieved by commanding one’s imagination and body.The eidetic control of motility complements the eidetic control of imagination.Both together make possible the freedom of man.
