摘　　要：中国特色社会主义不仅处于新时代,也处于大时代。大时代指的是现代化以来的时代。大时代构成思想政治教育学科发展的宏大历史背景,所以思想政治教育学科不仅面对新时代,还面对大时代,肩负着大时代的使命。在大时代,要认清思想政治教育学科格局、担当思想政治教育学科责任、接受思想政治教育学科实践挑战、推进思想政治教育学科理论创新、推进思想政治教育学科升级发展。思想政治教育学科发展使命的直接责任应当落实到思想政治教育学人肩上,落实到行动、精神和成效。Socialism with Chinese characteristics is not only in a new era but also in a great era. The great era refers to the era since modernization. The great era constitutes the grand historical background for the development of the discipline of ideological and political education, which, therefore, is facing not only the new era but also the great era, shouldering the mission of the great era. In the great era, we should recognize the pattern of the discipline, assume its disciplinary responsibility, accept the challenges of the disciplinary practice, and promote its theoretical innovation and the disciplinary upgrading. The disciplinary practitioners should shoulder the direct responsibility of the disciplinary development and manifest it in action, spirit and effect.
