摘  要:Designing and developing metal implants as permanent hard tissue substitutes to achieve both osteointegration and energy-dissipation has been a long-standing theme of fundamental and clinical research[1].However,these two characteristics can only be achieved separately in existing implants.Writing in Advanced Materials,Prof.Lin Guo,Prof.Robert O.Ritchie,Prof.Yan Wei and Prof Xuliang Deng report an innovative peri-implant ligament with combined osteointegration and energy-dissipation to prevent overload recently.
