公羊学三世断限平议  

On Dividing Standard of Three Phases Theory in Gongyang Study

摘　　要：三世说是公羊学的核心命题之一,其内容即所见、所闻、所传闻三世异辞。在《春秋》十二公二百四十二年中,其三世之断限,历代多有异说。董仲舒、何休以隐、桓、庄、闵、僖五公为所传闻世,以文、宣、成、襄四公为所闻世,以昭、定、哀三公为所见世,兹为正说。此外,颜安乐、孔广森以孔子生后为所见世,郑玄平分二百四十二年,廖平、蒙文通师弟分别据《谷梁传》《左传》断三世,皆为歧说。董、何说之所以为正,就在于:其三世间的断限以王鲁为判准;而三世作为一个整体,即《春秋》之所以始隐终麟,则由素王决定。孔子作《春秋》,设三科九旨,始通三统而以《春秋》为一代,终张三世而将《春秋》一代分张为三世,亦可见三世之张法即三世断限的终极理据在通三统。Three phases theory(“Sanshishuo”)was one of the core propositions of Gongyang Study.Three phases included the transmitted description of the society,the described society and the witnessed society.As for the division of the three phases,there were many different accounts.Dong Zhongshu and He Xiu’s thought represented the mainstream view that Duke Yin,Duke Huan,Duke Zhuang,Duke Min,and Duke Xi constituted the transmitted description of the society,Duke Wen,Duke Xuan,Duke Cheng and Duke Xiang constituted the described society,and Duke Zhao,Duke Ding,and Duke Ai constituted the witnessed society.Other than this,there were four different views.The view of Dong Zhongshu and He Xiu was right,because they used“Wanglu”theory as the dividing standard of the three phases.The three phases was a whole and its beginning and end depended on Suwang(Confucius).Confucius wrote the Spring and Autumn Annals and proposed the theory of Sanke Jiuzhi,which included Tongsantong,Yiwainei and Zhangsanshi.Finally,Tongsantong was the ultimate standard of Zhangsanshi.
