摘 要:雷蒙德·卡佛将小说的基本视野导向了普通人的日常生活。在他看来,沉沦与瞬间是体验日常生活的双重方式,琐碎与沉沦是日常生活的常态。它如同西西弗斯的处境--单调重复、机械空洞,人在其间面临着普遍的沉沦与虚无,同时又会呈现出“瞬间”的奇异时刻。在此,人出离常态,通过顿悟获取启示。卡佛以一种无声或是含蓄的方式,甚至在一种未完成性的状态下揭示日常,旨在认识和理解偶发、诗意与无法解释的生活本貌,为领会日常生活的“变奏”提供可能性。从认知上说,这是贫乏的现实与奇迹的瞬间两种场域的较量,也是人一直面对赋能与无力之间永恒的对峙。Raymond Carver guided the basic vision of the novel to the daily life of ordinary people.In his view,degradation and instant are two ways to experience daily life,and trivial and degradation are the normal of daily life.It is like the situation of Sisyphus—monotonous repetition,mechanical emptiness,in which people are faced with universal degradation and nihility,and at the same time,it will present“instant”strange moments.Here,people leave the normal state and get enlightenment through epiphany.Carver reveals daily life in a silent or implicit way,even in an uncompleted state,in order to recognize and understand the accidental,poetic and inexplicable nature of life,and provide the possibility to understand the“variation”of daily life.From the perspective of cognition,this is the contest between the poor reality and the moment of miracle,and also the eternal confrontation between empowerment and powerlessness.
