摘 要:朱谦之在史学理论、历史哲学方面著述颇丰,多有建树,在移植、整合西方理论基础上形成的生机主义史观有完全的理论体系,自成一家之言。他虽然强调史学研究中“心智因素重于物质因素”,似与唯物史观针锋相对,但细究起来,他的史学理论建构非但无法绕越唯物史观的存在,且受到唯物史观的启发,始终以唯物史观作为重要参照,从唯物史观中获取思想资源。他强调史家应承担其社会责任,史学研究应有现实关怀,应以“考今”为目的,其所论切中民国史学时弊,具有超越时代的价值。Zhu Qianzhi had written quite a lot on historical theory and historical philosophy,and made many achievements.By transplanting and integrating western theories,especially Hans Driesch’s new vitalism and Bergson’s philosophy of life,Zhu Qianzhi formed his vitalist historical view,with a complete and unique system.It seems that his theory conflict with historical materialism,but in fact it was influenced by the latter.He emphasized that historians should bear social responsibility and historical research should be realistic with aim of examing the present day.His comments revealed the shortcomings of the historiography in the Chinese Republican period,and had a value before his time.
