摘　　要：语言是沟通与交流的工具,是一个国家经济与文化开拓不可或缺的条件。改革开放以来,我国始终秉持着对外开放的基本国策,努力拓展各个行业的国际市场。随着我国服装行业对外拓展程度的不断深化,对服装外贸英语翻译工作的质量要求越来越高。为了进一步探究服装外贸英语语言的特点和翻译策略,文章从新时代背景下服装外贸英语翻译工作的重要性展开论述,详细分析了服装外贸英语语言具备的主要特点,探讨了服装外贸英语翻译工作在当前时代背景下必须遵守的基本原则和注意事项,并且结合服装产业发展的实际情况,从多个方向阐述了新时代背景下提升服装外贸英语翻译工作质量的主要策略和途径。Language is a tool for communication and exchange,as well as an indispensable condition for a country's economic and cultural development.Since the reform and opening up,China has always upheld the basic national policy of opening up to the outside world and made efforts to expand the international market of various industries.Along with the deepening of foreign development of Chinese clothing industry,the quality of English translation for clothing trade is becoming higher and higher.In order to further explore the characteristics and translation strategies of English language for clothing foreign trade,this paper discusses the importance of English translation work for clothing foreign trade from the new era,analyzes the main features of English language for garment foreign trade in detail,discusses the basic principles and matters for attention that must be observed in the translation of garment foreign trade English in the current era,and combining with the actual situation of the development of garment industry,expounds the main strategies and ways to improve the quality of English translation for garment foreign trade under the background of the new era.
