Driven by information technology, online games build a virtual platform similar to reality for individuals with reference to the real society, and become a real existence and situation for college students to build virtual self-identity in online games.College students“immerse”in game roles, experience the pleasure brought by multiple virtual selves, and also bring diversified, fragmented and heterogeneous self-crisis.Based on Freud s personality structure theory,it is found that the construction of college students online virtual self is exactly the carnival of the self in the virtual world. The self is whitewashed and the superego is absent. Some college students can t switch between virtuality and reality smoothly, causing self-identity problems. We can guide them to gain a sense of belonging in their spiritual pursuit, achieve self-development and self-identity by cultivating their subjectivity, giving full play to the leading role of mainstream values in the network field, and strengthening the education of college students ideals and beliefs.
