从中古写本文献的生成方式看敦煌变文古已结集的可能性  

On the Possibility of the Collected Dunhuang Bianwen from the Generation Mode of Medieval Manuscript Documents

摘　　要：以敦煌文献为代表的中古写本文献是一座研究宝库,文化史和文学史上很多“遗案”或可藉助其得以解决。变文即是中国文学史上尚未研究完全的一种文体形式,其定义、特点和范围尚有争议,敦煌文献中哪些是变文,现在仍不能完全确定。通过对现阶段被认为是敦煌变文者的藏地、编号以及对敦煌变文所在写本遗留信息的分析,可以发现变文有被归类成集的情况,这主要表现在有些卷号上有两个或两个以上的变文文献,或为全本,或为残文,或有篇题名;在敦煌文献各收藏地中,有紧邻或邻近卷号均为变文的情况。这说明变文写本抄写者和整理者存在着有意无意地以“因类相从”思想将敦煌变文结集的行为,这一行为的出发点是为了更方便抄写者和整理者阅读与学习。“变文集”的确认又可以重新审视学者对变文定义、特征、意义的论证是否合理。The medieval manuscript documents represented by Dunhuang documents are a treasure house for research, by which many “posthumous cases” in the history of culture and literature may be solved.Bianwen is a stylistic form that has not been completely studied in the history of Chinese literature.There are still some controversises for its definition and characteristics.It is still not entirely certain which of the Dunhuang documents are Bianwen.Through analysis of the place of collection and serial number of the Dunhuang documents that are believed to be Dunhuang Bianwen at the present stage and the remaining information of the Dunhuang Bianwen manuscripts, the author finds the fact that Bianwen manuscripts are classified into collections.This is mainly reflected in the fact that some volume numbers have two or more kinds of Bianwen documents which may be a whole text, or a partial text, or may have a title.In the various places where Dunhuang documents are collected, there are some cases in which the Dunhuang documents of adjacent volume numbers are Bianwen.This shows that the transcribers and arrangers of the Bianwen manuscript collect the Dunhuang documents intentionally or unintentionally with the thought of “following the same category”.The starting point of collecting in the way is to make it easier for the transcribers and arrangers to read and learn.The confirmation of “collected Bianwen works” can re-examine whether scholars’ argumentation on the definition, characteristics and meaning of Bianwen is reasonable.
