“治大国若烹小鲜”考辨——兼论其对当代文化建设的启示

摘　　要：“治大国若烹小鲜”语出《道德经》,当下学界的研究多从文学角度展开。这种解读方式虽言之成理,但因脱离了相应的人文情境,并没有切合老子本意。形象思维是传统文化基本的思维模式,取象言事为古圣先贤阐明见地的常规方式,《道德经》在这方面表现得尤为显明,“治大国若烹小鲜”便是其中的典型。以此为中心,通过文辞考辨与文化情境探析,结合文化地理学的具体观照,“治大国若烹小鲜”不仅是老子无为思想境界的真诚表诠,更是老子所处时空的基本生活方式。以此为鉴,在落实新时代文化建设的进程中,不但要合乎文化情理,而且要因时因地制宜。The phrase"governing a large country is like cooking a small meal"is from Tao Te Ching.The current academic research on it is mostly carried out from a literary perspective.This way of interpretation is reasonable,however,it does not fit Laozi's original intention because it is detached from the corresponding humanistic context.Image thinking is the basic mode of thinking in traditional culture,and taking images to speak things is the conventional way for the ancient sages to clarify their insights,and Tao Te Ching is partic-ularly evident in this regard.Taking this as the center,through textual and cultural contextual analysis,com-bined with the specife view of cultural geography,"governing a large country is like cooking a small meal"is not only a sincere expression of Laozi's state of mind of non-action,but also a basie way of life in the age and space where Laozi lived.Taking this as a reference,the implementation of cultural construction in the new era should not only be culturally appropriate,but also be adapted to the times and real conditions.
