摘  要:学术写作不可避免引用他人观点与研究成果,这一过程称为转述。转述常常通过动词引介他人观点,这类动词叫作转述动词。转述动词是学术写作中高频使用的词类之一。本文通过自建小型学术期刊语料库对汉语转述动词在语料库中的使用情况进行描写与分析。研究发现,语料库中高频使用的转述动词涵盖语篇、心理和研究性转述动词。使用最多的是语篇章转述动词与研究转述动词,最少使用的为心理转述动词。转述动词不仅转述内容,更传递作者对转述信息的态度与评价。本文从评价理论角度分析作者在使用转述动词时体现的作者态度及背后的动因。Academic writing inevitably refers to the ideas and research of others, which is a process called reporting. Reporting is often done through verbs that refer to the ideas of others, which are called reporting verbs. Reporting verbs are one of the most frequently used verbs in academic writing. In this paper, we describe and analyze the use of Chinese reporting verbs in a small corpus of academic journals. It is found that the high frequency use of reporting verbs in the corpus covers discourse, psychological and research reporting verbs. The most used verbs are discourse reporting verbs and research reporting verbs, and the least used were psychological reporting verbs. Reporting verbs not only report the content but also convey the author’s attitude and evaluation of the reported information. In this paper, we analyze the author’s attitude and the motivation behind the use of reporting verbs from the perspective of evaluation theory.
