摘　　要：英国牛津大学出版社出版的《技术史》(A History of Technology),是一部资料丰富、影响深远的世界技术通史巨著,出版时间达34年。这套书汉译出版经历了4个阶段,用了近56年:早在1965年,中国科学院哲学所为了编写《工业技术史》,即翻译印刷了当时已经出版的前5卷的目录;1986年,东北工学院、华中工学院、哈尔滨工业大学等6所工科院校开始联合翻译出版后3卷;2004年,上海科技教育出版社组织翻译出版了正文7卷;2021年,中国工人出版社出版了包括索引卷在内的完整的8卷。这套书的出版是我国学术界的一件大事,它将成为我国历史学、哲学、经济学及各类技术科学专业的重要参考资料。A History of Technology,published by Oxford University Press over a period of 30 years,is a magnum opus about the international history of technology with informative materials and far-reaching influence.It took nearly 56 years to translate this series of books into Chinese and finalize publication.This long period of publication went involved four stages:In 1965,the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences translated and printed the table of contents of the first five volumes published in order to compile the History of Industrial Technology;In 1986,Northeastern University,Harbin Institute of Technology and six other engineering colleges began to jointly translate and publish the last three volumes;In 2004,Shanghai Scientific&Technological Education Publishing House translated and published seven volumes of the main body of the text;In 2021,China Worker Press published the complete eight volumes,including seven volumes of text and one volume of indexes.The publication of this series of books is a significant event for the Chinese academic community.It will be an important reference for Chinese history,philosophy,economics and technical sciences.
