摘 要:一切表达,不管是用自然语言例如汉语、英语来表达,还是用非自然语言例如美术、音乐“语言”来表达,都要经过一次替代的过程,这是“广义替代论”的中心思想。就是说,任何表达都要对输入的信息(设为A)进行认知加工,然后将它在心智中呈现出来(设为B),成为“脑海里的电影”,以B再现A、表征A。这就是替代,这是一个认知过程。但是本文不是研究广义替代的,而是要研究自然语言的表达,所以要从广义替代回归到自然语言表达的替代,这就是“语言表达替代论”,即本文的论题。自然语言表达的替代除了认知加工外,还要依赖语言自身的一个特点:语言的语义性,从而造就出语言的推论性,通过推论,理解和体验B是如何替代A的。自然语言有字面义表达和非字面义表达的替代,本文只研究非字面义表达的替代。本文认为,对偶性可作为研究语言表达替代的总抓手。All expressions, whether expressed in natural languages such as Chinese and English, or expressed in non-nat-ural languages such as music “language” and painting “language”, have to go through a process of substitution, which is termed in this paper as the general theory of substitute. This is a cognitive process in which the input information, such as A, is to be processed and presented in the mind as B as a “movie in the mind”, that is, represented as B. While doing language research, however, we should return to the substitution of natural language expression, which is in turn called as the theory of substitute of language expression. In addition to cognitive processing, the substitution of natural language ex-pression should depend on one of the characteristics of language itself: the semantic nature of language, so as to create the inferential nature of language. Through inference, we can verify and realize the substitution of B for A. Natural lan-guage involves the substitution of literal and non-literal expression. This paper mainly studies the substitution of non-liter-al expression and holds that duality can be applied as the primary tool for studying the substitution of non-literal expres-sion.
