摘　　要：詹姆斯·费尼莫·库柏在小说《领航人》中以显性的、发生在大西洋绿色海岸线的系列海战为叙事支点,以隐性的、塑造美国海洋命运共同体概念为历史使命,体现出库柏对共同体概念的哲思,使得小说成为审视美国争夺大西洋地缘政治版图的首部经典海洋文本。本文认为,库柏正是通过作为共同体概念的绿色海岸线叙述来生动展现美国的海洋梦想。In his novel The Pilot, James Fenimore Cooper takes the visible naval battles on the green coastline of Atlantic Ocean as narrative starting point, and invisibly shapes American marine community with a shared future as historical mission. All these reflect Cooper’s critical thinking on the concept of community, and make this novel the first classic marine text to examine America’s struggle for geopolitical profits of the Atlantic. This paper argues that, it is through the green coastline narrative as a community concept that Cooper vividly demonstrates his American marine dream.
