摘　　要：疾病是当代爱尔兰作家塞缪尔·贝克特小说中不可或缺的主题。深受笛卡尔理性和存在主义哲学影响的贝克特在小说中充分展示人间创伤和痛苦,体恤普通大众民生,关注边缘化的社会底层群体,以此揭示爱尔兰民族遭受的深重灾难。与此同时,贝克特诠释了文学创作的疗救功效,即通过外化作品中主人公的心理冲动、挫折感和被压抑情感,释放个人生活中病态和破坏性自我。As an Irish writer,Samuel Beckett depicts disease as an indispensable theme in his novels.Deeply influenced by Descartes and existentialist philosophers,Beckett attends to human trauma and pain in his novels and focuses on the marginalized at the bottom of society to reveal the disaster and misery suffered by the Irish people.In addition,Beckett demonstrates the healing power of literary creation.Externalizing the psychological impulses,frustrations and repressed emotions of his protagonists,his works redeem the pathological and destructive self in his personal life.
