摘 要:中国古诗词语言凝练,富有音乐美,蕴含着丰富的内涵和意蕴,在翻译过程中因语言的差异往往很难再现原诗的精妙之处。以《清明》为例,原诗语言精练、优美,文化内涵丰富,景物与情感和谐统一,近代以来先后有多位翻译学家发表了其英译本。基于许渊冲教授“三美”原则,探讨《清明》的四种英译本运用了不同的翻译策略在音美、意美、形美三个方面传递原诗文化内涵,以期再现原诗精妙之处,从而促进中国古诗词的英译与传播。Ancient poetry contains rich connotations and meanings and the language is concise and beautiful in sound like music.In the process of translation,it is often difficult to reproduce the subtleties due to language differences.Taking Qing Ming as an example,the original poem has a concise and beautiful language and rich cultural connotation.Since modern times,many translation scholars have published their English versions.Choosing four English versions of Qing Ming as the object of study,based on Xu Yuanchongs“Three Beauties”principle,this paper makes a contrastive study on how these four versions pass the original poetic culture connotations and reproduce the beauty of the original poem from the perspective of culture with different translating strategies.
