摘  要:How plants produce the important defense hormone salicylic acid(SA)has been studied for almost 50 years.The current understanding is that in land plants,SA is biosynthesized from chorismate through the isochorismate(IC)pathway and the phenylalanine ammonia-lyase(PAL)pathway(Dempsey et al.,2011).
