增长极限的悖论逻辑及对高质量发展的认知意义

摘　　要：《增长的极限》一书暗含着增长悖论,增长的极限是这一悖论逻辑运行的结果。该书运用系统动力学的方法对全球人口——资本系统进行研究,其研究视角体现了全球性、生态性、系统性和量化性四个特征。基于其研究视角和方法论工具,该书不仅揭示了增长的悖论属性,而且使悖论的演进成为可以测度的轨迹,这就为我们从实践上解决悖论奠定了认知的基础。增长悖论的演进分为经济增长的主导期、艰难期和崩溃期三个阶段。在破解增长悖论问题上,梅多斯等人的思想经历了由“世界平衡状态”概念向可持续发展观的转变,他们认为只要国际社会尽早向可持续发展过渡,经济增长的崩溃是可以避免的。他们与学界的可持续发展观对我们理解高质量发展具有认知意义,高质量发展是以确保和改善生态质量为前提,注重经济质量与效益,兼顾社会质量的提高,着眼于提升人民生活质量的发展。The book Limits to Growth implies the paradox of growth,and the limit to growth is the result of the paradoxical logic.The book studies the global population-capital system by the method of system dynamics,and its research perspective embodies four characteristics:global,ecological,systematic,and quantitative.Based on its research perspective and methodology,the book not only reveals the paradoxical properties of growth but also shows that the evolution of the paradox is measurable,which laid the cognitive foundation for resolving the paradox in practice.The evolution of the paradox of growth is divided into three stages:the dominant stage,the difficult stage,and the collapse stage.To address the growth paradox,Meadows and others underwent a shift from the concept of"world equilibrium state"to the concept of sustainable development.They hold that the collapse of economic growth can be averted if the international community transitions to sustainable development as soon as possible.Their concept of sustainable development,along with that of the academic community,has cognitive implications for our understanding of high-quality development.High-quality development is premised on ensuring and improving the ecological environment and concentrates on economic quality and efficiency,taking into account the improving of social quality and focusing on improving people's quality of life.
