大学书院制兴起的动因与时代意义

摘　　要：书院与学院源于中西方不同的文化教育传统,现代书院是20世纪教育变革的产物。大学书院制作为现代书院的重要组成部分,是现代高等教育组织与书院教育传统的融合。从组织机构及功能来看,它包括独立开展人才培养活动的教学组织形式和特定教育机构下的学生教育管理方式两种类型。大学书院制的兴起,受民族文化传承、人才培养模式变革及高等教育大众化发展等因素推动,具有一定的历史必然性和深厚的文化教育基础。大学书院制融会中西高等教育培养模式,书院制与学院制互补,适应了新时代培养高素质创新型人才的需要,在构建立德树人保障机制、弘扬民族传统文化精华、促进学术创新和教育交流等方面发挥着重要而独特的功能,是推进中国式高等教育现代化的重要举措。Shuyuan(academy)and college originated from different cultural and educational traditions in China and the West.Modern academy is the product of education reform in the 20th century.As an important part of modern academy,University academy system is the integration of modern higher education organizations and academy education traditions.From the perspective of organization and function,it falls into two categories,the teaching organization form in which independent talent training activities are carried out and the mode of student education management under specific educational institutions.It is promoted by factors such as national culture inheritance,transformation of talent training models and development of mass higher education,which determine its historical inevitability and profound cultural and educational foundation.It integrates Chinese and western higher education modes.The academy system and college system complement each other,satisfying the demands of the new era to cultivate high⁃quality innovative talents.It plays an important and unique role in building institutional guarantee for“fostering virtues through education,”promoting the essence of traditional culture as well as academic innovation and educational exchanges.It is an important measure to promote the modernization of Chinese higher education.
