摘　　要：从手工艺阶段过渡到机械印刷时代,印刷流程的组织架构和印刷技术的革新对书籍艺术及其审美产生了直接而深刻的影响。我们如今能看到的西方书籍艺术的面貌,绝不仅仅来自于历代印刷工、艺术家和设计家的努力,也包括社会景观和书籍制度变迁下产生的审美转变。本文探讨从手工艺时代过渡到机械化时代西方书籍制度对艺术审美的转化与影响。As human society moved from the handicraft stage to the era of machine printing,changes in the printing process and the emergence of new printing techniques have had a direct and profound impact on the art of book-making and the aesthetics of books.The Western book art we see today came not only from the efforts of successive generations of printing workers,artists and designers;it also reflects changes in aesthetics produced by the changes in the social landscape and the book system.This paper discusses how changes in the Western book system transformed book art during the transition of human society from the handicraft era to themachine era.
