论《大都会》的时空叙事

摘　　要：《大都会》记录了主人公埃里克从贪婪到毁灭、从低级庸俗到精神升华的心理嬗变过程,展现了以“时间性”和“空间性”为主要特征的两种社会文化形态的演进与转化以及美国资本主义社会的内在危机,构建了一个迥异于传统的时空叙事,同时也引发了人们对另一种政治可能性的思考。德里罗认为时间性的消逝与空间性的崛起,并不意味着乌托邦的破灭和历史的终结,而是昭示着异托邦的显现。Cosmopolis delineates the evolutionary psychology of Eric from greed to destruction,from vulgarity to spiritual sublimation,dramatizes two forms of socio-cultural evolution with“temporality”and“spatiality”as the main characteristics and the inherent crisis of American capitalism,constructs a different spatio-temporal narrative from the traditional one,and arouses people’s concern about another political possibility.According to DeLillo,the disappearance of temporality and the birth of spatiality do not mean the end of Utopia or history,but mean the appearance of heterotopia.
