Sterol regulatory element binding protein 1(SREBP1)is a key protein in lipid metabolism, which can promote the transcription of lipid synthesis-related genes and thus promote lipid synthesis. It plays an important role in energy supply and storage, and construction of cell membrane and organelle membrane. The occurrence of tumor is often accompanied by abnormal lipid metabolism.Recent studies have found that SREBP1 is abnormally high expressed in tumors, which is closely related to the occurrence and development of tumors. This paper reviews the structure and function of SREBP1,as well as its role in the occurrence and development of tumors, providing new ideas and potential therapeutic targets for basic research and clinical treatment of tumors.
