理工科硕士研究生英语学习需求的实证研究——以湖北某高校为例

摘　　要：研究生公共英语是研究生必修课程之一,对提升研究生培养质量、推动其未来职业发展有重要作用。本研究以需求分析为方法,通过问卷调查分析湖北某地方高校硕士研究生的学习需求,剖析存在的问题,指出未来理工科硕士公共英语教学发展的方向应以新工科人才培养理念为引导,结合学校办学特色与当前研究招生规模和生源质量,通过内部需求和外部需求分析,梳理当前研究生教学中的经验和问题,探索分层教学。改进措施应结合学校学科和专业特点,组建跨学科教学团队,重视语言学习策略培养,细化和完善研究生公共英语教学目标。English is one of the required courses for postgraduates of non-English majors.It plays an important role in improving the quality of postgraduates and promoting their future career development.Academic English teaching for postgraduates in regional universities are faced with the problems of great differences in students’levels,limited teachers and large classes with students from multi-disciplinary majors.In light of the actual situation of these universities,it is urgent to carry out the effective reform of graduate academic English teaching mode according to their unique characteristics.Based on the need analysis method,this study analyzes the learning needs of postgraduates at one of these university through a questionnaire survey,and puts forward some possible improvement measures.
