摘　　要：基于合法化语码理论语义性维度以及系统功能语言的相关研究,本文以司法判决书为例探讨了法律职业语篇中语法隐喻的语义效用,即语义效果和社会功能。研究表明概念隐喻能增强专业性,增加抽象性;人际隐喻能增强意义蕴含价值观念的图标性,调整可协商性;语篇隐喻能加强信息整合的内聚性和信息组织的隐秘性。在司法判决书中,语法隐喻有助于客观再现诉讼事实、建构复杂现象及其关系,传递共享价值观念、构建和谐司法共同体,实现司法推理的逻辑化和组织性,从而合法化判决结果。本研究拓展了有关语法隐喻语义效用的认识,为进一步多学科语篇对比分析提供了基础。This research,drawing on Legitimation Code Theory in collaboration with Systemic Func⁃tional Linguistics,interprets the use of grammatical metaphor and its semantic efficacy in a spe⁃cific legal genre of judicial opinion.With a fine⁃grained analysis of one American judicial opin⁃ion of a case precedent centering on the doctrine of judicial immunity,we found that:1)in terms of complexity of meaning relations(semantic density),judges use grammatical metaphor to technicalize their professional expertise ideationally,to negotiate modality and evaluation in⁃terpersonally,and to aggregate discourse information textually;2)with regard to context⁃de⁃pendency of meanings(semantic gravity),judges ideationally use grammatical metaphor to ab⁃stract or estrange their discourse by weakening iconicity,to interpersonally negotiate with differ⁃ent voices in terms of negotiability,and to textually disconnect the discourse with the outer world to improve the implicitness of textual organization.It is concluded that grammatical meta⁃phor better serves the functions of the legal genre of judicial discourse,highlighting judicial jus⁃tice in general.
