摘 要:本文从微观个体层面研究了外商直接投资(FDI)对我国当地居民教育投资决策的总体影响。研究发现,FDI流入增加了本土低学历个体的就业概率,提高了教育的机会成本,从而显著抑制了个体的教育投资。利用Bartik方法,本文构建了不同技能密集度的FDI流入,结果显示低技能密集度的FDI流入对各个阶段的教育投资决策均产生了显著的负向影响,高技能密集度的FDI流入则促进了教育投资。对于男性、城镇居民、农村进城务工人员以及正处于入学选择关键年龄的个体,教育FDI的负面冲击更大。Using data from the urban survey of CHIP and China Population Sampling Survey,this paper studies the aggregate impact of foreign direct investment(FDI)on local residents'education investment decisions in China at the individual level.The results show that FDI inflows increase the employment probability of low-educated individuals in China and raise the opportunity cost of education,thus individual education attainment is depressed significantly.Following the Bartik method,we construct the measures of low-skill and high-skill FDI inflows,the results show that low-skill FDI inflows have a negative impact on individual education investment decisions in each stage significantly.And highskill FDI inflows raise the school enrollment.For male,urban citizens and rural-to-urban migrants and people who are in the critical age of enrollment,FDI flows have stronger negative influence.
