摘　　要：根据《牛津英语词典》的定义,双关语是用一个词表达两种或多种含义,是英语语用中一种重要、常见的修辞格,人们应用于日常生活中可以将自身高情商体现出来。对此,文章介绍了英语双关语生成机制、理解机制,阐述了双关语类型以及语用功能,希望能够为相关单位与人员提供参考。According to the Oxford English Dictionary definition,pun is an important and common rhetorical device in English pragmatics that uses a single word to express two or more meanings.When applied in daily life,people can reflect their own emotional intelligence.This article introduces the generation and understanding mechanisms of English puns,elaborates on the types and pragmatic functions of puns,and hopes to provide reference for relevant units and personnel.
