摘 要:本文在认知语法的基线/阐释理论框架下,基于BCC和COCA的真实语料,从单项、选择和普适三个维度,探讨汉英让步复句的句法与语义界面及其实现机制与路径。研究认为,概念化者感知、体验到某一事件,并作为基线,借助于外显或隐含让步复句入场元素,通过另一事件的桥接作用,从左向右或从右向左,对其作出与预期相对、相反或相同的整体阐释,构成让步复杂事件;概念化者将让步复杂事件转为意象图式,通过隐喻投射到汉英句法结构上,表征为汉英让步骨干复句,并作为新的基线,通过外显或隐含时态、情态动词入场元素,对其谓词作实例化阐释,形成汉英让步复句句法结构;让步复杂事件与其句法结构之间配对,相互作用,彼此映射,实现汉英让步复句的句法与语义界面。研究结果为汉英让步复句教学和习得提供了认知理据。In the theoretical framework of the baseline/elaboration theory in cognitive grammar,based on authentic data from BCC and COCA,this paper explores the syntax-semantics interface of Chinese and English concessive complex sentences and its realization mechanism and paths,from three dimensions of monomial,alternative and universal.It is contended that the conceptualizer perceives and experiences an event,which is regarded as a baseline.The event,with overt or covert grounding elements of concessive complex sentences,from left to right or from right to left,is elaborated wholly as opposed,contrary or same to what is expected,through the bridging function of another event,which is formed into a concessive complicated event.The conceptualizer transforms the concessive complicated event into an image schema,which is projected onto its Chinese and English syntactic structure and expressed as a skeletal Chinese and English concessive complex sentence.The conceptualizer,with grounding elements of overt or covert tenses and modals,takes the skeletal Chinese and English concessive complex sentence as a new baseline,and elaborates its predicates with instantiations,which is shaped into a Chinese and English concessive complex sentence structure.The concessive complicated event and its sentence structure are paired,mutually interacting with and mapping to each other,and thus realizing the syntax-semantics interface of the Chinese and English concessive complex sentence.These findings provide cognitive evidences for the instruction and acquisition of Chinese and English concessive complex sentences.
