许渊冲《马克白》翻译手稿自我修改的描写研究

摘　　要：翻译过程研究除诉诸实证技术外,也可以基于译者留存的翻译手稿展开,但当前在手稿中探究翻译修改过程并总结翻译行为特征的研究还相对不足。鉴于此,本文首先论述翻译手稿在翻译过程研究这类描写译学研究中的价值,接着以《马克白》翻译手稿为例考察许渊冲莎剧汉译的自我修改过程。研究发现,《马克白》汉译中许渊冲的自我修改体现了译者追求译文可读性和可表演性的倾向,而这些倾向是翻译规范及译者惯习等内外因共同作用的结果。Translation process research can be conducted via empirical technologies or with translation manuscripts.However,research in the second type is underdeveloped both at home and abroad.The present article first discusses the value of translation manuscript in descriptive study of translation process,and then explores the self-revision process in the Chinese translation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth by Xu Yuanchong with his translation manuscript.It is found that the self-revisions demonstrate Xu’s pursuit of acceptability and performability of the target text,which are governed by both translational norms and the translator’s habitus.
