摘 要:自20世纪80年代起,中国学者将美国流行音乐作为学术研究对象已有四十余载,但公开发表的学术成果数量偏少,涉及学科领域狭窄,内容较为单一。本文首先对中国知网(CNKI)数据库(1980-2021)中有关美国流行音乐的中文文献进行量化统计和关键词梳理,总结现有中文论文的研究思路和研究范围;其次,本文从流行音乐概念界定模糊、对流行音乐的学术偏见、文化及意识形态三个层面分析美国流行音乐的中文学术研究缺失的原因;最后,本文呼吁学者从传播符号学的视角关注美国流行音乐,引入受众分析,为美国流行音乐的中文学术研究拓展新的思路。It has been over 40 years since Chinese scholars started researching about American popular music.However,publications in Chinese academic journals are few in numbers,narrow in the range of disciplines,and repetitive in themes.In this project,we first searched the topic of American popular music in the database of CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure)in the time range of 1980 to 2021 and summarized the research themes and scope of these published articles by using a quantitative method.Then we identified three reasons for the limited academic research on American popular music in Chinese language:an unclear definition of popular music,an academic bias towards the research of popular music,and the ideological difference and national governance of American popular music in China.Lastly,we proposed a semiotic approach to understand American popular music.We call for Chinese scholars to engage with audience analysis,which points new directions for the research of American popular music.
