西夏字的区别性特征在草书中的表现

摘　　要：西夏文字中的一些构字部件笔画相同,仅借助个别笔画的长短对比及其与周边笔画的关系来区分意义。字符间唯一的最小差别被称为区别性特征。在西夏文的草书抄本中,单字和构字部件的笔画无论怎样变形或简省,区别性特征都必须保持。像“横笔的长短”之类特征一旦作为区别性特征存在,抄写人在面对其他不需要这个特征构成唯一区别的所有单字中都会加以强调,甚至会在一定程度上放弃草书笔法,转而用楷书笔法以求字形清晰。Some components of the Xixia script have the same strokes,and only the length of A few strokes and their relationship to the surrounding ones are used to distinguish the meaning.The only minimal differences between characters are called distinctive features.In the Xixia cursive manuscripts,the distinctive features must be maintained no matter how the strokes of single characters and their components are deformed or omitted.Once a feature such as“the length of the horizontal stroke”exists as a distinctive feature,the scribe will emphasize it in all other characters that do not require it as the only distinctive feature,and will even abandon the cursive handwriting to a certain extent in favor of the regular writing for clarity of character structure.
