过去是不能被占有的——对《占有》中爱伦日记的分析

摘　　要：A.S.拜厄特在小说《占有》中采用了多种方式进行叙述,围绕过去与现在的关系进行了进一步的描绘,在过去与现在的交汇之中,爱伦·艾什的日记充分展现了二者之间的占有关系。爱伦·艾什的日记中有撰写、有修改、有留白,通过对过去痕迹的覆盖,爱伦的日记成为了现在与过去之间的围墙。因此,爱伦的日记展现了过去与现在的关系——过去是无法被现在所占有的,现在所能把握的唯有过去留下的踪迹。A.S.Byatt uses many techniques to narrate the story of Possession,in which she further depicts the relationship between the past and the present.During the intersection between the past and the present,Ellen Ash's diary fully demonstrated the relation of Possession between the two.Ellen's diary had traces of intentional writing,editing and understatement.Through covering the real past,Ellen's diary became a wall between the past and the present.Thus,Ellen Ash's diary disclosed the relationship between the past and the present,the past could not be possessed by the present,and the present could only possess the traces of the past in Ellen's diary.
