Although great progress has been made in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer in recent years, the proportion of patients with the 5-year survival is still less than 47%.It is necessary to explore actively new treatment methods or new targets.Post-translational modification(PTM)is an important way to regulate protein function. It modifies the physical and chemical properties, conformation, and the binding ability of proteins through post-translational processing of precursor proteins, thereby affecting protein activity, stability and function. At present, the research on ovarian cancer mainly focuses on PTM such as phosphorylation,acetylation,O-GlcNAcylation,S-palmitoylation and ubiquitination, which affect the proliferation, invasion, apoptosis, drug resistance and chemotherapy sensitivity of ovarian cancer cells by regulating the function of a variety of proteins, regulating related signaling pathways or affecting the expression of downstream molecules. This review on the research progress of PTM in ovarian cancer may provide a new theoretical basis for the precise and targeted therapy of ovarian cancer.
