蒙学经典英译中的儒家伦理——以《三字经》为例

摘　　要：英译《三字经》作为蒙学典籍传播的成功范例,蕴含着丰富的儒家伦理思想。文章以裨治文、翟理斯、王宝童和赵彦春的《三字经》英译本为考察对象,从“仁爱为怀”和“修身为本”两方面,对四个译本进行比较,探讨翻译中的儒家伦理思想。从中华文化传播视角提出,译者在典籍翻译时应把握典籍文化的时代性,保留中国优秀传统文化之精华,增强文化自觉,推动中国优秀蒙学典籍在海外的传播。As a successful example of Chinese elementary classic dissemination,the English translation of the Three Character Primer is rich in Confucian ethics.By comparing the English translations of the Three Character Primer by Elijah Coleman Bridgeman,Herbert Allen Giles,WANG Baotong and ZHAO Yanchun,Confucian ethics was discussed,in terms of"benevolence for the mind"and"cultivation of one's moral character".From the perspective of Chinese cultural transmission,it is suggested that translators should grasp the contemporary nature of ancient classics,preserve the essence of Chinese traditional culture,and enhance cultural awareness in order to promote the dissemination of China's excellent elementary classics overseas.
