摘　　要：西方国家出现的政治衰败是其民主政治陷入困境的重要表现。西方国家政治制度的最大特点是用财富代替权力,其运行良好的根本前提是大量财富的支撑,反之,就会产生政治衰败现象。西方世界建立资本主义制度以来的数百年间,发生过三次大规模政治衰败浪潮。政治衰败的根源在于资本主义生产关系的内在矛盾。当前西方出现的政治衰败,源于资本主义发展到国际垄断阶段,国际垄断资本与西方主权国家之间的矛盾不断激化,极少数资本寡头占有绝大多数社会财富。探究西方国家政治衰败的逻辑,对于理解人类政治文明多样性,坚定走中国特色社会主义政治发展道路,具有十分重要的意义。The political decline experienced by Western countries is a significant manifestation of their troubled democratic politics.The most prominent characteristic of the political system in Western countries is the substitution of power with wealth,and the fundamental prerequisite for its sound operation is the support of large amounts of wealth.Conversely,political decline occurs when this support is lacking.In the hundreds of years since the establishment of the capitalist system in the Western world,there have been three waves of large-scale political decline.The root cause of political decline lies in the internal contradictions of capitalist relations of production.The current political decline in the West stems from the progression of capitalism into an international monopoly stage,where the contradiction between international monopoly capital and Western sovereign states continues to intensify,with a minuscule number of capital oligarchs possessing the vast majority of social wealth.Exploring the logic of political decline in Western countries is of great significance for understanding the diversity of human political civilizations and for adhering to the path of political development of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
