摘　　要：高等教育现代化是中国式现代化的重要组成部分,一个国家的高等教育现代化既应具备世界各国高等教育现代化的共性特征,更应基于国情构建具有本土特色的高等教育现代化体系。通过梳理“传统与现代”“本土化与国际化”两对概念的关系,提出从本土化的视角重新认识现代化的命题,并分析了本土化的理论内涵和实践逻辑,总结了“早发内生型”国家和“后发外生型”国家高等教育发展特征的差异。前者的本土化举措是对自身高等教育系统的优化和升级,后者是基于本国国情对“舶来”的高等教育模式进行的改造和创新。我国作为“后发外生型”国家,为实现中国高等教育现代化,既需要学习西方高等教育经验,更需要扎根中国大地,通过“本土化”改造推进中国高等教育现代化。The modernization of higher education is an important part of Chinese modernization.The modernization of higher education in a country should not only have the common characteristics of the modernization of higher education in the world,but also build a system of higher education modernization with local characteristics based on national conditions.This paper sorts out the relationship between“tradition and modernity”and“contextualization and internationalization”,puts forward the proposition of re-understanding modernization from the perspective of contextualization,and analyzes the theoretical connotation and practical logic of contextualization.This paper summarizes the difference of higher education development characteristics between“early-onset endogenous”and“late-onset exogenous”countries.The contextualization of higher education in“early-onset endogenous”countries is the self-upgrading and optimization of the self-created higher education system.The contextualization measures of higher education in“late-onset exogenous”countries are based on their national conditions to transform and innovate the“imported”higher education mode.As a“late-onset exogenous”country,in order to realize the modernization of China's higher education,China needs not only to learn from the experience of western higher education,but also to take root in China and promote the modernization of China's higher education through“contextualization”reform.
